The Big Lunch aims to get as many people in the UK as possible to have lunch with their neighbours on one day – this year on Sunday June 7. The idea comes from the Eden Project, is funded by BIG Lottery Fund and is partnered by Asda and Halifax.
We worked with the Big Lunch team to move the Big Lunch brand on a year, keeping the existing feel but updating the overall image.
The initial brief was to design a new collage that would then be used across the set of brand literature.
Our idea was based around a continuous circle of big lunches that all fitted around a circular table this showed the different communities all over the country taking part in the annual event.
The circular design allowed different areas to be cropped for separate pieces of literature within the welcome pack.
We also collaborated with Magic Light Pictures to incorporate characters from The Gruffalow, The Gruffalow's Child and Room on the Broom for posters and stickers included in the Big Lunch Welcome Pack.
